Grande Allée: The "Champs Élysées" of Québec City

Day or night, Grande Allée's sidewalk restaurants and cafés and beautiful architecture attract big crowds. The street's excellent restaurants, bars, and nightclubs make it the perfect place to start—and end!—any evening.

Fabulous Dining

A string of great restaurants, appealing patios, and appetizing menus are all great reasons to stop by for something to eat.

There are eateries for all budgets and tastes, including Louis-Hébert with its fine cuisine, Feu Sacré Bistro Grill for European dishes, and the always popular and never dull Cosmos Restaurant, which can hold its own with some of the best when it comes to after-work chic.

Speaking of decor, be sure to dine at Voodoo Supper Club, where African art jibes perfectly with the beat of the tam-tams.

Great Nightlife...

Grande Allée is also renowned for its hopping nightlife. DJs, dance floors, romantic patios, bars with traditional music—it has everything you need to enjoy a memorable evening.

No night out in Québec City would be complete without a visit to the famous Maurice Salon-Bar. Its 100-year-old surroundings are home to theme evenings and the hottest atmosphere in town!

Historically Speaking

Grande Allée's popularity is nothing new. In fact, it was the neighborhood of choice for the upper class in the 19th century.

Even today, traces of the neighborhood's heyday still remain in its charming Victorian architecture.

Exploring the City

There's plenty to see and do just off Grande Allée! Battlefields Park, better known as the Plains of Abraham, is just a stone's throw away, and is one of the world's finest urban parks.

Rue Cartier is also close by. Here you will find plenty more restaurants, boutiques, and cafés, along with several hotels, inns, and bed and breakfasts.

As one of the city's main streets, Grande Allée also leads to a host of tourist attractions, including Old Québec, great shopping at Laurier Québec, Place de la Cité, and Place Ste-Foy, and the historic Québec Bridge.

In short, Grande Allée is the perfect setting for after-work drinks that stretch long into the evening!
