Paul McCartney is coming back to Québec City!

April 25, 2013

Press release
For immediate release

Quebec City, April 25, 2013 – Five years almost to the day from his historic first concert here,
Paul McCartney is back! He'll be playing the Plains of Abraham on July 23. Touched by the
reception he got in 2008, in what was 'a night to remember' for everyone who had the chance to
be there, Paul quickly got behind the idea of bringing Québec audiences his new production, "Out
"We can say that Paul McCartney was thrilled to accept our invitation. With so many surveys
showing that his 2008 concert was the high point of the celebrations marking the 400years of
Québec, what better way to mark it's fifth anniversary?" said Daniel Gélinas, General Manager of
3E event-experience-emotion, which is putting on this new show.
Paul McCartney's "Out There" tour is an all-new production featuring close to three hours of
songs spanning his entire career–as a solo artist, member of Wings and, of course, The Beatles.
The McCartney live experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity to share many of the greatest
moments of the last 50 years of musical history with material from the most beloved catalog in
popular music.

2013 another landmark year!
Paul has thrown himself into 2013 with full force following a landmark year in 2012, which saw
him conclude his record-breaking “On The Run” tour, release his Grammy-winning Kisses On The
Bottom album, play at both the Diamond Jubilee and Olympics Opening Ceremony, headline The
Concert For Sandy Relief and accept a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
2013 also marks the 50th anniversary of Beatlemania, an expression coined in 1963 by the Daily
Mirror to describe the Beatles phenomenon. And it was in 1963 that the band played their last gig
at The Cavern in Liverpool before setting out to conquer the world.
